Exmouth’s Phear Park fairy trail – due to take place on Saturday, July 22 from 9am to 4pm – has been postponed due to anticipated poor weather.

The children’s event – which would have featured 20 mini-door hidden among the trees for youngsters to find – is to be rescheduled in the near future.

“Due to the weather conditions tomorrow we have decided to postpone,” said an event organiser from Withycombe Raleigh pre-school.

“Sorry to everyone who was looking forward to coming along, but we’ll let you know as soon as we have another date.”

Last year’s free event – where children were encouraged to come disguised in a fairytale costume so they didn’t scare the fairies – was a ‘massive success’ attracting around 500 people.

We’ll post an update as soon as we have it.
