PUBLISHED: 18:30 25 September 2017
Rehearsals are under way ahead of a pantomime performance of Treasure Island in Budleigh Salterton.
A cast whose ages span seven decades will be appearing in the performance.
The youngest cast member is seven-year-old Evelyn Hitchcock, while the oldest at 77 is writer and director Steve Andrews.
The performance will be raising funds for a new library at St Peter’s Primary School.
Before the panto opens, the production is asking for people to allow them to borrow empty Nebuchadnezzar and Jeroboam bottles of champagne.
The production will take to the stage, at the Public Hall, Station Road, on Friday, November 3, and Saturday, November 4, from 7pm. There will also be a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
Tickets, available from Card Shop Too and the Tourist Information Centre, cost £8 per person for adults and there will be special under-14s rate of £5 for the matinee.
