THE EXMOUTH Pavilion welcomes back, by popular demand, Swing 'n' Sinatra on Sunday, November 16, at 7.30pm, performing a broad selection of songs you'll know and love from the swing era - from Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller through to songs like Mr Bo Jangles and Bad Bad Leroy Brown, plus foot stomping rhythm and blues/jazz.
The show is performed by Five Star Swing - an eight-piece band containing three multi-instrumentalists/ vocalists and led by Chris and Simone Smith. Chris, whose varied career has taken him from jazz festivals to Top of the Pops, uses his experience gained in playing and writing for Glenn Miller's brother (Herb Miller) to bring the songs to life. Saxophonist and vocalist Simone has performed with the New Squadronnaires and played lead alto saxophone in the later days of the Ivy Benson Show Band. The show has a great appeal for all age groups and, so far, all have been sell-outs!
Be entertained with hits from the Rat Pack, Glenn Miller and Ella Fitzgerald plus the foot-stomping best of jazz and blues - Jools Holland style.
This versatile and accomplished swing band recreates the exciting sound of the big band days, featuring five saxophones, male and female vocalists, multi-instrumentalists and dynamic rhythm section.
Tickets are priced at £14 and £13 and can be ordered from the Pavilion's box office on (01395) 222477 or online at www.exmouthpavilion.co.uk
