Players are ready to take to the stage in Newton Poppleford

NEWTON Poppleford pantomime rehearsals are nearing their end and the cast are getting stuck into their parts ready for this week's performance.

NEWTON Poppleford pantomime rehearsals are nearing their end and the cast are getting stuck into their parts ready for this week's performance.

The Riverside Players' performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs begins at Newton Poppleford Village Hall this evening, Thursday, February 12, at 7.30pm, until Saturday, February 14.

On Saturday, there will be a matinee performance, starting at 2.30pm.

Leading lady Leonie Sharples plays Snow White, and Tanya Christopher is in the role of Prince Ferdinand.

The performance is directed by Tricia Barclay and John Groswold is pantomime musical director.

Tickets are £5 and selling fast. The matinee performance is £2.50 for children.

There will also be a raffle and refreshments during the evening.
