Fifty-five children and young people from Andrea White's Exmouth-based Dance Arts Theatre School are busy preparing to spring into action.

They are preparing to present their own show, Spring Into Action, at the Barnfield Theatre, Exeter, on Saturday, March 15, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Among the highlights of the show will be leading senior dancers 16-year-old Fiona Wells and 15-year-old Caterina Lau.

These two talented teenagers have appeared several times with the Swansea Ballet Russe over the last five years.

Last April, Caterina played the title role in the Russian professional ballet company's Coppelia at Exmouth Pavilion and Fiona was cast as Dr Coppelius' Scottish Doll.

Also last April, Fiona and Caterina took major roles in the Dance Arts UK premier of the Tap Dance Kid at the Barnfield.

In September, Fiona and Caterina were in charge of younger Dance Arts pupils appearing with Timeless Theatre Productions at the afternoon performance of Memories are Made of This at the Barnfield and now they are returning to centre stage, performing solos and duets in this Dance Arts super spring show.

Tickets, which cost £6 for adults and £5 for concessions, are available from the Barnfield Theatre box office - telephone: (01392) 270891.
