THE Exmouth Players One Act Play Festival at the Blackmore Theatre, from Monday 14-Saturday, April 19, promises a feast of drama

THE Exmouth Players' One Act Play Festival at the Blackmore Theatre, from Monday 14-Saturday, April 19, promises a feast of drama with 17 entries, including the winners of the Dorset and Teignmouth Stage One round of the All England Theatre Festival National One Act Play Competition.

Dorset winners Weymouth Drama Club will present Mental on Wenesday night and Teignmouth winners Triangle will stage Playing with Daisy the following evening.

Local entries include Tuna Fish Eulogy by Centre Stage on Monday, the Exmouth Players' Between Mouthfuls and Exton Drama Club's The Walking Dead on Tuesday and Perfect Partners by Exmouth Players on Thursday.

Tickets are £5 per evening (£3 youngsters) but a bargain season ticket offers all six nights for £20. The season ticket holders will choose the winner of the Andrew Benn Memorial Award for the most enjoyable play.

The entry with the highest mark, awarded by adjudicator Keith Thompson, will compete in the quarter-final at St Austell on May 3.
