The Point Bar and Grill, Exmouth Marina, will be staging the second instalment in a series of top flight Friday night jazz evenings on November 7.

Nick Hunt, of The Point Bar and Grill, has been working closely with respected local saxophonist Pete Canter to arrange the jazz nights.

Guests will be able to choose classic food, including locally landed seafood or Exmoor steak, while listening to some of the finest jazz in the South West.

Last week's event featuring the James Shipway trio was a complete sell-out and tomorrow it is the turn of sweet-voiced songstress Joy Parke, the first of three vocalists in the programme, who will perform her set of great swing standards and ballads from jazz's golden age.

Following weeks will feature Claire Hoinville, a beautiful singer who specialises in swing and Latin jazz, the Craig Milverton Trio on November 21, Tenor saxophonist and composer Pete Canter a week later and Devon's very own jazz diva, Maggie Reeday, on Friday, December 5.
