Lifting Blackmore

Exmouth s buoy band, the Exmouth Shanty Men, are helping to give a lift to the local Blackmore Theatre. In a concert to be held this Saturday, November 15, they will be raising money towards the theatre s new lift fund to allow disabled access.

Exmouth's buoy band, the Exmouth Shanty Men, are helping to give a lift to the local Blackmore Theatre.

In a concert to be held this Saturday, November 15, they will be raising money towards the theatre's new lift fund to allow disabled access.

The show commences at 7.30pm and tickets are just £6 from the Blackmore box office or Exmouth Town Hall. The Shanty Men will be singing a colourful and hilarious selection of some of their most popular sea songs plus a range of new material complete with ropes, spars, sails and full period costume.

"The lads are always delighted to support local causes," said founder Martin John Nicholls, "and we have a very special relationship with this wonderful old theatre, it's the jewel of Exmouth!
