There's an opportunity to join some talented Exmouth singers in a choral workshop this Saturday (January 20) from 9.30am to 5pm at Exeter's Belmont Chapel.

Held under the ‘compelling and inspirational guidance’ of Nigel Perrin, the Exeter Festival Chorus is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a workshop, performing Carl Orff’s rousing Carmina Burana, open to all singers.

It’s a chance ‘to share the joy of stimulating group, singing in a friendly and supportive atmosphere’.

Around 10 of the Exeter Festival Chorus are from Exmouth.

“Living by the fresh, humid air of the sea is good for us singers, which is possibly why so many members live here,” says David Wright, chair of the choral committee.

“We enjoy the camaraderie of being members of this premier choir, and we often get together for a drink after rehearsals.”
