EXMOUTH playwright, professional actress and housewife Jane Bennett is looking forward to the premiere of her latest play Homegrown, by the Nightshade Theatre Company, which runs from Thursday, November 6 - Saturday, November 8, at the Manor Pavilion Theatre, Sidmouth.

Mother of four Jane, whose West End credits include Run for your Wife, Two into One and See how they run, founded the Nightshade Theatre Company with fellow Charles Vance Summer Rep actress Janette Froud in 2006. Previous productions, The Two Shilling Murder, set in Victorian Babbacombe, and Return Journeys, set in Broadclyst in the 1950s, proved popular with audiences at the Manor Pavilion. Jane's plays are the result of meticulous research and include local and topical references.

Homegrown is set in present day Sidmouth and includes references to the Napoli disaster - the very week the enquiry takes place in Exeter.

Jane is very grateful to Janette for her imaginative and innovative direction. They are both delighted that the audiences will enjoy large helpings of that dynamic duo James Pellow and Fiona McGregor as 74 year old Harry and his 20 year old grand-daughter Katie. Jane and Janette will further enhance this sparkling comedy as the cleaning ladies.

Expect a barrel full of laughs, but also some poignant moments, in this high quality production.

Tickets - £10 - are now on sale at Manor Pavilion box office, telephone (01395) 514413. Performances start at 8pm.
