Exmouth’s World of Country Life - near Sandy Bay - has lined up a Pirate Week for half term, running from Monday, May 29 to Friday, June 2.

With much of the attention focused on the pirate ship at the attraction’s giant sandpit, it’s a chance for children to run in and around the vessel and walk the plank while adults enjoy a well-earned rest and some refreshments from the Tractor Takeaway.

The World of Country Life team will also be donning their fancy dress outfits, so children are warned that they may be met at reception by Captain Hook or even park mascot ‘Appy Angus, dressed in his own pirate outfit.

The park is open from 10am to 5pm. Visit www.worldofcountrylife.co.uk for a full timetable of all activities for the week.

In addition to the Pirate Week, there’s also the regular daily events taking place at the World of Country Life.

These include goat walking, bottle feeding, animal racing, deer train safari and a birds of prey flying display.
