There’s a production of Cold Comfort Farm, The Musical coming up in Budleigh Salterton.

Presented by Imperial Productions at the town’s Public Hall, the show is on Saturday, December 2 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Based on the hilarious and quirky novel by Stella Gibbons, the story unfolds in 1932 when Flora Poste, a London socialite, discovers she has been left penniless. Rather than get a job, she decides to impose herself on her county-cousins, the Starkadders, at Cold Comfort Farm in Sussex.

A production spokesman said that ‘rehearsals have been lively and energetic’, adding that “director and writer Alaric Barrie and choreographer Jason Allen Lane have added some creative and special touches to the production, while musical director, Adam Jordan, has worked his own magic on Barrie’s delightful musical score”.

Tickets are £15. Concessions for children and full-time students at £7.50. To book, visit www.imperialproductions.org or call 03336 663366.
