The Point Bar and Grill on the Marina has a great new jazz programme which owner Nick Hunt has introduced on Friday nights.

The relaxing restaurant has booked some great jazz acts in the lead up to Christmas. Nick, who has been working closely with respected local saxophonist Pete Canter to arrange the jazz nights, told the Journal during the evening: "It adds to the ambience and relaxed attitude we are trying to introduce here; when you book your table it's yours for the night. There is no need to rush your meal as no one else has booked the table."

This is a great place to really relax and enjoy the superb music as well as eat deliciously cooked local fresh seafood and Exmoor steak.

This Friday night (December 19) sees The Pete Canter Trio. Nick added: "We have just added one special group for New Year's Eve, Lazybird featuring Claire Hoinville, Pete Canter, and Ian Wright. This will be a very special night indeed and what better way to see in the new year than with dinner and live jazz?"
