The great Acker Bilk will perform at the Exmouth Pavilion on Wednesday, July 1, at 7.30pm.

He received his MBE for services to the music industry from Her Majesty the Queen in 2001, as well as a BMI award in 2004 as a songwriter for performances exceeding four million of his number Stranger on the Shore, BBC Jazz Awards in 2005 for his unique contribution to Jazz in the UK. Acker, who reached the magnificent age of 80 in January has been performing for 59 years, touring the world many times and, although pacing himself now, still tours with his Paramount Jazz Band.
