Salterton Drama Club is offering great fun for a summer evening with the Peter Gordon comedy Third Week in August, directed by Mark Bazeley at the Salterton Playhouse from Monday, June 8 to Saturday, June 13 at 7.30pm.
When Tony (Richard Gomm) goes on a caravan holiday with his partner Jenny (Lynn Leger) and his two children, events conspire against him and he is wrongly suspected of having affairs with two attractive, eligible ladies. One is scintillating, single, twenty-something Sue (Maddie Pearce) and the other is likeable Liz (Karen Bazeley), who is recovering from her second failed marriage. Liz is trying to escape from the clutches of her miserable sister Mary (Di Nicholls). Mary's hapless husband, Neville, is keen to engender campsite camaraderie, but is thwarted by Mary and causes much mirth and mayhem with his bureaucratic buffoonery. David Holt is sure to have his audience in stitches as Neville.
Tickets, 7, are available from Budleigh Salterton Tourist Information Centre, Fore Street, Budleigh Salterton, telephone: 01395 445275
