ONE of the local youth football leagues that a number of East Devon sides play in, the Exeter Friendly Competiton, has undergone a 'name change' and will now be known as 'The Exeter & District Youth Football League'.Explaining the name change, Chairman John Penkethman said: "We have been providing a mix of friendly and competitive football and we felt, with the advent of the league running an Under-13 side next season, it would be prudent to drop the Friendly part of the title. We will still organise friendly football for the Under 8, 9 and 10 age groups."The new season begins in September.
