Archant

Phil Cawood of 3K Martial Arts opened new classes for children and adults at Lympstone Youth Centre in Candy's Field in September this year.

The first grading, held earlier this month, saw 15 youngsters take part and all passed with flying colours.

They were tested by chief instructor and examiner Cawood who is an 8th Dan Black Belt and has over 40 years martial arts experience.

He has taught many children and adults over the years in Exmouth.

He says: “I operate disciplined, but fun classes and was very impressed with the effort and attitude of the students on the grading day, the children were excited, but very disciplined and well behaved.”

New adult and child students, beginners or past experience, and persons of any fitness level, are always welcome at the club.

Classes for children and adults learning Kenpo Ryu, Karate and Kickboxing are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Lympstone Youth Centre.

For more information about classes contact Phil Cawood on 07544577715 or find the club on facebook: Phil Cawood Kenpo Ryu.
