The Exeter Chiefs and the RNLI hosted a Beach Rugby Tournament at the Exmouth Lifeboat Station.

Exmouth Rugby Club U10's trained on the beach in preparation and the standard was high with some great rugby being played. The Cockles lost out in the first round of fixtures, all close games.

Undeterred, the Cockles played some super rugby with some fantastic passing and great pace, to overcome three teams. The best display of team rugby came against Crediton.

The team did Exmouth Rugby proud, heads never went down and the whole squad played with commitment and passion. Considering it was a 'touch' tournament, things certainly got physical at times.

For those that haven't played beach rugby before, look out for future events, it's well worth attending and considerably more competitive than we anticipated.
