Woodbury Park success for Dart, Haddon and Hurrell

The past week has since, sadly, precious little action owing to the woeful weather, writes John Bridgman.
It was with some relief that the seniors were able to defeat the elements and play a three-man team stableford.
The trio of Rob Dart, Mike Haddon and Adrian Hurrell took first place with a score of 73 points.
Second place, with 70 points, went to Doug Budgen, John Kelly and David Morris and the threesome of Ray Dwan, David Freeman and Kevin Wortt took third spot with 66 points.
Last weekend a four ball better-ball competition was won by Duane Greenslade and Martin Moxey with 45 points. Also on 45 points, but losing out on countback were Colin Wilson and Mark Hayne. Stuart Winks and Alex Freer came in third with 43.
Tomorrow (Friday) we will be assembling for the another of the splendid Woodbury Park Presentation Evenings.
It all commences with a champagne reception before dinner, held in the splendid Greg Norman Suite. Presentations are held so those who have excelled themselves can be heralded by fellow members and receive trophies, suitably engraved for all time, and recorded in club history on boards hanging in prominent places in the clubhouse.
Once again all winners are to be applauded for their magnificent efforts this year. Till the next time, happy whacking, cheers John.
