Seven players from the Withycombe Juniors have been called up to the Exeter Chiefs Academy Under-16s side.
It is massive congratulations to Morgan Lowery, Bobby Pond, Max Rowley, Matt Burke, Luka Annan, Will Lavis & Lewis Tose, who will be part of the squad of 34 from teams around the area.
In the Green and Black of Withycombe, the Under-16s finished off a 100% record in the Fisherman’s Cup with an enthralling 19-18 victory over Sidmouth. Lavis, Annan and Pond scored the Withy tries.
The win for the Under-16s completed an excellent weekend for the juniors, as the other age groups managed to secure some excellent results over Chard, starting with success for the Under-9s and the Under-10s.
The Under-11s tied 16-16 in a thriller with Chard, while the Under-12 won 25-12 on the road. The Under-13s scored some fine tries in a 45-20 success and the 14s won 27-22.
