The junior players, coaches and families of Withycombe RFC took to the streets of Exmouth on Sunday (following Covid rules) to give their community a tidy up.
Over the course of the day willing volunteers could be seen in Lympstone, Budleigh, Otterton, Tipton and Exmouth, making a difference to their local area.
Thanks to their outstanding efforts literally thousands of pieces of rubbish have been removed from the areas’ parks, beaches, streets and streams.
This is just the latest way in which Withycombe RFC have been giving back to the community during the lockdowns and is also a great way for people to get out, exercise and make a difference.
Junior Chairman Mark Long was rightly proud of the young players and stated “what a fantastic effort from all involved and just shows again how Rugby is playing its part in local communities during these strangest of times.”
