Exe Table Tennis staged an Under-14 Easter Tournament at Exmouth Community College.

The preliminary rounds saw 16 juniors compete against each other in groups of four.

The top two in each group went through to the best of five games, knockout competition.

The four top seeded juniors all won their quarter final matches against up and coming youngsters.

The first semi-final saw Bradley Winteridge win the first game against Melchior Manowski 12-10 before Manowski found his form, winning the next three 11-7,11-7, 11-8 to secure his place in the final.

Seasoned player Matthew Wellington won the first two games against newcomer Jake Butt 11-4,11-6 then lost the third game 6-11 before finishing the match in the fourth game, winning 11-5.

In the semi-finals play-off Butt won the first game 12-10 then Winteridge upped his play taking the next three games 11-5, 11-9, 11-9.

The final saw Wellington win the first two games 11-6, 11-6 before Manowski fought back winning the third game 11-9.

The fourth game saw both players trying their hardest to win every point and eventually Wellington won the game 11-9 to win the match and the tournament.
