Wonderful Webb

Webb, aged just 14, lost out to Exmouth ABC’s Daniel Hardy in November at the Pavilion when he had the measure of his opponent but just didn’t throw enough punches.

But since then has scored two stoppages in two weeks.

After his tremendous first round win at Weston-Super-Mare Webb travelled to Torquay to box on the Apollo Dinner show at the Imperial Hotel.

Webb was pitted against the home club’s unbeaten Jordan James who didn’t even get out of first gear before a straight left and a crunching body shot had the Apollo boxer all at sea.

The referee administered a standing eight count and on resumption of the bout James indicated he did not want to continue - and the bout was all over in just 20 seconds.

Webb is now hoping to continue this form for his home club’s show at the Exmouth Pavilion on Friday January 21 when the unbeaten International Masters

Light-Welterweight Champion Jamie Speight will be guest of honour.

There will be a host of local talent on the show which will see the debuts of Sam Walkey, 86kg and local Golf Pro Ben Thorn at 71kg,

Ollie Kitchen will be returning from the Frank Bruno Academy while Carl Connor 65kg will be making his seasonal debut, with top of the bill being Light-middleweight Jared Jones.

Tickets are now on sale at Autosave Exeter Road Exmouth and at the Exmouth Pavilion Box Office priced at £10.
