Starting with the lightweight girls, Natasha Pearsey fought with determination to the gold position. Laura Gibson narrowly missed the silver but came back with bronze.

George Downs and Dominic Dorling both fought well without reward. As his was their first competition, both boys showed promise for the future.

Frazer Anderson continued his good form. After earning his Orange belt at a recent grading, he beat all his opponents with maximum scoring throws to win the gold position.

Ruan Kilroy showed good skill and technical ability to fight his way to the final. After leading for most of the bout, he was caught by his opponent for a higher score and had to settle for silver.
