THERE was a fascinating match played between one led by the Men's Captain and one skippered by the Men's Vice Captain, writes Ron Stares. In what was a naturally keenly contested match, the Vice Captain's side assumed early control and at the half way mark Captain Ray's team were some 46 shots behind! With such a hefty midway lead, Vice Captain George's side eventually ran out 142-112 (+30) winners. The best Captain's rink was Chris Fox, Brian Parker, John Onley and skip (the Captain himself) Ray Moore. The best Vice Captain's rink was Colin Shaw, Harry Clark, Brian Stowell and skip Keith Weeks, they won by 17 shots.
