The Budleigh Wednesday Triples League has been the main activity over the Christmas period.

Team Oak played Team Ash and just lost out, as Jackey Phillips, Tony Gooding and skip Tony Lim kept up their impressive form to stay top of the league with a 17-13 win.

Team Oak - Peter Cooper, Norman Upchurch and David Tomlinson - bounced back with a win against Team Beech 19-15, whilst Team Willow - Derek Stanley, Melissa Camp and skip John Dill - recovered from a seven-shot deficit to take the match 22-10 against Team Ash.

The club welcomed Madeira in a mixed friendly but the visitors proved too strong for the home team as they impressively won overall 42-17. There was a great effort from Melissa Camp, Mike Killoran and skip Simon Weclawek, as they just lost out 12-16.

The week ahead sees the Budleigh men looking to progress in the Parrot Trophy against Mid-Devon.
