With play not possible at the Feathers Inn, the Terror Pins final home game in a 20 match season was switched to East Budleigh's Rolle Arms, with grateful thanks from the League and all teams concerned, write SpursTom.

Visitors Aylesbesare Eagles arrived with seven of the eight players required, giving the hosts an early advantage, and though the contest was played in a relaxed atmosphere throughout, Terror Pins made their superior numbers tell by taking six of the eight legs quite comfortably, losing the others by a mere total of seven pins.

The margin of victory was 65 pins and with it came revenge as the Terror Pins chalked up their eleventh triumph of the season, which should also give the team around a mid-table finish.

Sue Gooding was on form; her consistent good play making her the hosts’ star of the evening ahead of Chris Gatter and Tony Gooding. Ron Pope top scored for the Aylesbeare Eagles.

The Terror Pins would like to bolster the team with at least a couple more members for next season.

They are a friendly bunch, but not too noisy, and the majority live in Budleigh Salterton.

Sue and Chris Gatter are the secretary and captain respectively, if interested please contact them on 01395445692, or Conrad (Tom) Thomas on 07961181061.
