The Crediton Crunch is another local multi-terrain event, the distance for which is followed by the suffix ‘ish’, writes Dave Eveleigh.

Ellie Sutcliffe seems to be well on the way back to full fitness following injury.

Her name is now cropping up in lots of race results again, but she is now perhaps holding back from giving 100 per cent in some of those events in response to that injury.

There were 226 finishes in Mid-Devon of which 89 or almost 40 per cent were female among who Ellie was first to finish, her time 42:42 and her overall position 17th.

Her nearest female rival was almost two minutes behind so this would have been one of those races race where she would not have been needed to respond at 100 per cent to any challenge.
