EXMOUTH Sea Angling Association member Pete Gregory from Exeter went out deep sea fishing for shark recently and while out, smashed the club's Blue Shark record.
Gregory had taken the vacant record himself last year with a superb fish of 127lb, but this Blue was even bigger.
The catch topped the scales at a superb 153lb: a 382% specimen.
As is policy in the ESAA, after a quick picture the fish was immediately returned to the sea unharmed.
Pete also took two other club records on the trip, both with specimen fish, but reckons there's an even bigger Blue Shark out there just waiting for his bait next trip.
Exmouth Sea Angling Association is one of the oldest in the country, having been formed in 1921.
