Scott brilliance leads Exe II to clean sheet success at home

Exe II 2, Blandford and Sturminster Newton 0

Exe II gave a sparking performance and, for the second week running they came away with the points.

The success was set up by a solid defensive display, capped off with serious, and productive, attacking intent.

After a period of sustained pressure Emma Hulme was on hand to open the scoring on 12 minutes and it was no less that Exe deserved!

The second goal owed much to a moment of individual brilliance when, on 27 minutes, Emma Scott ghosted past several Blandford players before slotting the ball beyond the advancing ‘keeper.

Isabella Burke was named Player of the Match for her superb shift both at the heart of the defence, but also for support in attack.
