Russell Frame, five times champion of the Exmouth Snooker League, has regained the title over Mark Rock, himself, twice a previous winner, by four frames to one.

Rock won a scrappy opening frame 48-34 before losing the next three, 66(25)-34, 82(28)-28 and 75-51.

He won the fourth to keep his hopes alive with a 38 break, more than matching Frame’s run of 35 (84-55).

Both players could not replicate their high scoring form of late, but, the tactical nuance and tighter safety play saw Frame over the winning line 60-11 in the sixth frame.

East Budleigh A have won the Team Knockout Challenge Cup, beating the Police Social Club A 311-227.

Andrew Binmore 70(37)-62 (25) and George Webster 65-49 won two frames for the Police, but, Gordon Benzie 73-38, Alan Farrant 62-49 and Graham Ward 65-5 sealed a handsome winning margin to claim the final piece of silverware of the snooker season.
