Withycombe Under-13s shrugged of the previous outings' disappointment of the cup exit to defeat Torquay with a fine all-round display.

The coaching staff decided that a back-to-basics approach was the way forward and a good midweek training session put the youngsters in good shape for the match.

Withy made a bright start and, five minutes in after an Oscar Moyle kick had pinned the visitors back in their own half, Josh Saunders crashed over to open the scoring.

After 22 minutes Kyle Parry dotted down and Moyle converted, and that sent Withy into the break with a 12-0 lead.

Despite six half-time changes the flow of the game fro the restart was unchanged fro the first half.

Three minutes in Jason Farrant finished off a great team effort to score out wide. Withy saved the best until last with another great team effort ending in Jack Owers crossing the whitewash.

In what was an excellent all-round display, special mention should be made of the contribution from Josh (Bob) Saunders, who served up a superb performance at inside centre in only his second game in that position.
