Withycombe slipped to a second successive heavy Tribute Cornwall and Devon defeat as they went down 69-3 at South Molton.

There was precious little during a closely contested first half that Withy would see the game out on the end of a big defeat. That’s because, at the halfway stage the home team only led by seven points at 10-3, with the Withy score coming from an Adam Ykhlef penalty.

However, it was one-way traffic after the break with South Molton scoring 59 unanswered points.

Withy have now shipped 212 points in their last three outings. This Saturday (October 13) is a blank day on the league fixture lists and so Withy will next be in action the following Saturday (October 20) when they host a Bude side that sit third in the table after winning five of their six games so far this season.
