They played on both the Saturday and Sunday of the tour with the opening fixture being against Perranporth. The match, played at the home of St Agnes RFC, was a one-sided affair with Withy crushing the Cornish side 70-0!

Withy scored no fewer than ten converted tries. Despite the score line the game was well contested and the boys had to work hard, but their effort and superior team work saw many fine tries run in during both halves.

The following day the youngsters took on St Austell with this game played at the home of Newquay Hornets and Withy chalked up a 21-12 success.

This match was against tougher opposition with St Austell giving as good as they got for much of an enthralling contest.

To round things off, at the end of the match, a further 20 minute period was played in the true spirit of touring rugby with both teams swapping back and forwards.

The Withy backs pulled on the red and white of the Saints to join their forwards against the green and black of the Withycombe pack and St Austell backs.

This provided another well contested uncompromising match played in great sporting spirit to finish off a fantastic trip to Cornwall.
