Exmouth RFC have underlined their ambitions for the coming season by announcing four new faces coming on board at the Club.
EXMOUTH RFC have added a quartet of new players to the Cockles 1st XV squad as they continue their build-up to a new campaign.
George Savage has been recruited from Crediton and Sidmouth hooker Callum Hill, together with tight-head prop Lloyd Fairbrother has signed from Exeter Chiefs who will also hold his registration.
Completing the latest new batch is Topsham based flanker Dave Bargent, who has been a member of the Exeter Chiefs Academy for the past few seasons.
Exmouth Head Coach, Jon Hill, knew of hooker Hill through working with the lad when he was at Exeter College and it looks very much as if the acquisition of Hill is as a direct replacement possibly for former skipper Adam Hooper who’s regular availability in some doubt for the campaign ahead.
Savage arrives at the Recreation ground having played in almost every forward position there is, over the past few seasons and he is also a former Academy member at Ivybridge Community College.
In the case of Fairbrother, the tight-head prop has just completed his studies at Truro College and he does also have his registration held by the Chiefs where he is under the tutorage of Robin Cowling. Fairbrother is a like-for-like replacement for the now departed Jack Andrew who has moved on to pastures new, looking to break into the Cornish All Blacks side.
