Charlie Passmore served up a Remembrance Sunday best as he scored eight tries for Withycombe under-7s in two games against hosts Totnes.
The Withycombe under-7s were also in action at Totnes on Remembrance Sunday, and emerged with a win and a draw from two high scoring affairs, writes Ben Asselman.
The first game produced a 9-4 Withy win with Charlie Passmore producing the stand-out contribution with a five try haul. Erin Asselman bagged a brace and the single scores came from Paddy McGuiness and Samuel Skinner. Charlie Tyler put in an excellent shift with mazy runs combined with tenacious tagging and there were a number of sparkling runs fro the fleet footed Oliver Willis.
In the second game the sides each managed eight scores with young Passmore again leading the way with a treble. Erin Asselman again scored a pair and Harry Bennett also notched a brace whilst the odd score came from Samuel Skinner. The stand-out contributions in this game were the tagging of young Asselman, the clinical finishing of Passmore and some fine work by both Harry Bennett and Sam Skinner.
