Archant

Exmouth under-14s were up against a very confident Cullompton side, away at Stafford Park.

So early in the season the Exmouth side were still missing a few players on holiday but the emerging squad worked hard to play their part in an entertaining game.

Cullompton started the quicker of the two sides with a couple of big, tall runners making headway to the Exmouth try line.

With the score only 12-0 at half time Exmouth showed their summer training was starting to pay off with some great play both up front and with the backs growing in confidence.

It was pleasing to see new players Jake James-Graham, Alfie McIntosh and Caleb Sampson working well together, also linking well with the existing lads.

The final score of 40-0 flattered the home side who had to work hard to get their rewards.
