Exmouth Under-13 action from the game versus Honiton

Exmouth Under-13s travelled up the M5 to Cullompton to play the Mid Devon side on a chilly, frosty, but sun kissed morning.

In the first half the young Cockles were very focussed and dominated much of the play. There approach work enabled them to bag a 20-0 lead by half-time.

However, after the break they seemed to collectively take their foot off the pedal and the home side took full advantage.

The Cockles were not to be denied though as a Cooke drop goal saw them to a 28-22 victory.

Both teams put a great deal into a compelling encounter and can be very proud of their efforts.

The Cockles try scorers were Joseph Oates, Tom Cooke, Luke Hughes, Zak Higginson and Joel Ranft.

On Sunday its derby action for the Cockles with a visit to Topsham.
