The young Cockles went up against touring sides Gravesend and Hove as well as Exeter Youth with the teams competing for the Burleigh Travel trophy.

On what was another busy day at the Imperial Ground, there was also action for the Cockles’ Under-9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, and 14s with visiting opposition provided by touring sides Old Cranleighans, St Peters (Cardiff) and the clubs that provided opposition for the Under-13s with almost 450 youngsters involved in the action.

It’s been a busy end-of-season period for the Cockles junior section with over 1,000 youngsters taking part in a junior rugby festival at the club’s Imperial Ground headquarters on the final Sunday of March.
