It took Exmouth approximately two minutes to get on the score sheet in their first Exeter University U16 League game of the season.

Following a 30-metre drive up the pitch, some incisive running and a stunning running line, full back Marcus May crossed the try line.

Exmouth continued to exercise great control in defence and attack.

Speedster Mark Godfrey was the next to score, getting on the end of a break out from defence. During the first half Exmouth put the pressure on with further tries from Sam Conway (2), Jevon Burns and Brad Cooke.

Owen Flinn slotted three conversions during the first half. Cullompton made oneforay in to Exmouth territory and touched down for their only try of the game, 36-5 at the interval.

The second half followed a similar pattern and, just two minutes in, Brad Cooke touched down for his second try after collecting a great pass from Matt Harris. Sam Conway crossed for his third try after Josh Juleff did the running but fell short of getting to the try line.

The Exouth backs dominated Cullompton backs and superb handing from Owen Flinn, Matt Wells and Jake Gillham ensured the young Cockles continued to run up the score. Matt Harris touched down after a typical run, taking out 2 players.

Further tries followed from Jason Ianiciello and Brandon Perry, along with 2 more conversions from Flinn, Exmouth U16’s final score 65-5
