Exmouth's South West Premier meeting with Camborne was one of two matches in the division that were not played on the second Saturday of March.

The other game that was postponed, like the Exmouth game, because of a waterlogged surface, was the game at Ivybridge where Bracknell were due to be the visitors.

However, in the games that were played, two of the sides who began the day above fifth placed Cockles lost and so it remains very possible for the Cockles to go on and finish as runners-up and so bag a play-off spot.

Of the matches that were played, the top three meeting between Maidenhead and Newton Abbot did go ahead and Maidenhead emerged victorious to the tune of a 46-36 score line to climb into second place in the table behind champions-in-waiting Dings Crusaders who won for the 18th time thanks to a 22-18 success at Cleve.

Bournemouth suffered a surprise defeat, going down 36-27 to second bottom Hornets, who were bagging only their sixth win of the campaign.

Bottom side Lydney were beaten 20-14 by visiting Weston-super-Mare and Brixham beat Newbury Blues 19-12 in the other two games.

Exmouth have six games to play starting with this Saturday (March 17) trip to Weston-super-Mare and they follow that with a March 24 visit to Cleve before Dings Crusaders are the visitors to the Imperial Ground on the first Saturday of April. Thereafter they are at Newbury Blues on April 14 and finally they go to Lydney on April 21. A date will now have to be found for the Camborne home game.
