WITHYCOMBE under-7S entertained their counterparts from Honiton at Raleigh Park on Sunday morning.
Both games produced plenty of good open play and there were lots of scores for the large, appreciative crowd to enjoy.
The first game ended in a 10-5 win for the hosts and the second engagement ended in an honourable seven all draw.
A highlight of the two games was a stunning run from James Griffin.
The Withy youngster raced clear from the half way line weaving his way round a number of opponents before crossing the line.
There were then similar adventurous, and pacey runs from Erin Asselman, Charlie Passmore and Harry Bennett.
The latter ended with a hat-trick of scores. Asselman and Passmore both finished with two each and there were single scores also from Samuel Skinner and Paddy McGuiness.
McGuiness, carrying an injury, joined the game at the half-way stage and showed just why he is such an invaluable member of the team with his uncanny ability to always be in the right place at the right time.
A key feature to his game is the way he is always so enthusiastic about supporting other team members.
