Snooker Club B, the defending champions, hold second place after a crucial comeback against East Budleigh C.

Trailing to Trevor Hayman 56-36 and Leo Dolling 70-43, Carl Rowsell 80-66 and Mark Hayne 82-67 saw Mark Rock complete the victory 105-63 with a 68 break and a 31 clearance.

Topsham Con Club went fourth despite losing to Cranford B, who stay 11th in the ratings. Jamie Brant 48-23 and Julian Fewings 61-36 drew level with Mike Page 74-51 and Alan Morrison 57-24 before Pete Naille wrapped up the decider 74-42.

The two Police Social Club teams share seventh spot as the A team lost 3-2 while the B quintet won in the last frame.

Steve Willcock 57 and George Webster 60-46 were turned over by Derek Quick 65-5, Bert Savage 70-48 and Clive Pring 49-13 for East Budleigh B to stay tenth.

Harold Smith 54-30 and John Spamer 61-32 were held by John Eborall 63-37 and Gary Parnell 57-44 before Bob Horton took the final frame 62-22 to keep Otterton A anchored to the foot of the table.
