Players in the Exmouth Snooker League are handicapped similarly to golfers, with top players playing off -30 against some on +30.

In the final frame played at East Budleigh A, conceding 48 at the break off, Alan Farrant finally headed Phil Rowsell of the Police Social ‘B’ on the pink.

But, after Rowsell potted the black to bring the scores level, Farrant potted the re-spotted black (78-71). Mark Auton 81-62, Barry Bentley 58-35 and Kev Luxton 64-32 won three of the other four frames for a 4-1 victory.

Police A remain top of the table as Rob Pow 68-17, Russ Payne 73-38, Pete Abrahams 61-27 and George Webster 76-58 were denied maximum points by John Anderson 64-37 of the Police ‘C’.

East Budleigh ‘B’ swap places with the Police ‘C’ with Stuart Laws 56(25)-40, Mervyn Long 95(22)-43(23), Jamie Gulliford 63-53 and David Freer 41-34 go second, despite Dan Brown winning the final frame 64-42 on the Conservative Club table.
