Exmouth Town Under-18s were involved in a mighty close contest when they travelled to Acland Park, Feniton to meet a home side that, like Town, went into the Devon League game sporting an unbeaten record.
Town thought they had edged ahead in the first halllf, but the linesman deemed that the ball had not crossed the line and so half-time arrived with the score still 0-0.
The second half was just as tight, but it was Town who got the game’s only goal with Tom Prout powering home a header from a corner.
The win means that Town stay top of the table.
