Ponsford and Crelley impress in ECatsbridge Simultaneous pairs for Children In Need

This is an exciting time of year for Exmouth bridge club players.

The ECatsbridge Simultaneous Pairs for Children in Need was played on three occasions countrywide.

The first event was held on November 9 when Keith Ponsford and Mike Crelley (N/S) scored 55.1 per cent to finish 205th out of 835 participants.

On the same day George Racibourski and Polly Newcombe playing E/W were 119th with a score of 57.91 per cent.

Session two was held on Monday, November 12 when Jean Padmore and Tricia Brine (N/S) achieved the outstanding percentage of 68.69 to finish 15th in a field of 2373.

Peter and Jackie Hardcastle (E/W) also did well to come 256th with a score of 59.58 per cent.

Tuesday saw a disappointing turnout with only four tables in play. In a Howell movement, Jill Williams and Nigel Jackson-Mack scored 56.50 per cent and were placed 429th in a field of 2032.
