Police A set to lift Exmouth Snooker League title

With only two more matches to complete the Exmouth Snooker League season, every frame won or lost will determine the final outcome to this close encounter.

Four of the twelve frames played this week were decided on the black.

Police Social Club A remain in the driving seat as Carl Rowsell 82-58, Pete Abrahams 68-60 and Mick Delahaye 57-52 overtook John Parrott 68-29 and Steve Spinner 63-45 of second place, Police B.

Number Nine A have a share of second place with Dion Newcombe 90(39)-53, Dan Brown 66-22 and Tim Parker 45-29 denied further spoils by Russell Frame 105(49)-69 and Tim Thorn 72-45 of Number Nine B.

East Budleigh climb up to fourth place at the expense of the Police B. Rob Marsden 63-30, Barry Bentley 44-40 and Kevin Luxton 54-48 won the middle three frames with Bob Horton 61-42 and Ashley Down 63-24 replying for the visitors.

This Saturday (March 14), Exmouth play their final round robin Devon Inter-League match with Torbay D at the Police Club. The team, for the 7.30pm start, is Mark Auton (captain) Iain Callander, Dion Newcombe, Carl Rowsell and George Webster.
