Bridge continues to be played, and to a high standard, at Exmouth Bridge Club.

THE first Tuesday of August saw the playing of the third leg of the Exmouth Bridge Club Summer Championship.

The top scorers on the night were Roy and Carla Pickering with 60 per cent.

In second place, finishing with 57.5 per cent, were Phil Palmer and Jennifer Flood who have played in all three session to date and have been able to maintain a splendid average of 58 per cent!

However, after completing two sessions, it is Carla Pickering who has taken a small lead in the race to be the Summer Champion.

In order to qualify for honours in this event, four of the sessions must be played with another club member.

There are a number of players strategically placed to overtake the leaders, but need to play in the remaining sessions and so a thrilling end to this years Championship looks on the cards!
