The new season at Phear Park opened with a match was against Ottery St Mary, a super contest with both sides playing well. Ottery eventually won the match and the views over the river Exe were appreciated by bowlers and spectators alike.

Saturday saw a brilliant match against a Belmont team from Exeter, as Phear Park recorded a fantastic victory 75 to 38. A special mention to one of the new bowlers, Brian Phaby, who played extremely well along with Brian Stone and his team won with the highest individual rink score. Finally, Phear Park went to Honiton on the Sunday, losing in a very well-fought match by just a few points.

Phear Park are offering half0price membership to new members this season, only £50 and free coaching on Friday afternoons.

Down the road at Budleigh Salterton Bowls Club, the indoor season concluded with some trophy presentations (pictured) and congratulations to all for an excellent winter of bowls.
