Phear Park A in over-60s home defeat

PUBLISHED: 18:35 16 June 2010

Phear Park’s A team in the over-60s triples league suffered a home defeat to Topsham, but salvaged two points through a win by Evans’ triple of Cooper and Parr.

The B team were involved in an exciting game at Chagford which ended 33 shots each. On a green described by one of the more poetically inclined Phear Park bowlers, as quintessentially English, the triple of Harries, Anderson and Sharland (skip) won by 21 shots to 20. The second triple lost by 14-13.
